The Ice Cream Series began as an idea to create one design with ice cream as the focal point. The creation of the one design morphed into several design ideas which became the Ice Cream Series. In Volume 2 of the series, the focal point of the design became the hand drawn text. By eliminated the ice cream cone, and adding the flavors as a wallpaper, the hand drawn text became the only element in the foreground.
The ice cream flavors are an important element of all of the ice cream designs, so eliminating them simply wasn’t an option. Adding them to the background as a wallpaper was a good way to feature them without them being overpowering. As a wallpaper, the flavors add a nice backdrop for our hand drawn text.
Alone, neither component stands up very well. With the two elements combined, Vol. 2 of the Ice Cream Series came together quite nicely.
